Joseph Kariaga

Joseph Kariaga, 27, is a former gangster from Nairobi’s Mathare slum who transformed his life after his brother was killed by police. He co-founded Vision Bearerz in 2017, an organization dedicated to combating food insecurity and steering youth away from crime through urban farming. Kariaga now helps feed over 150 children weekly and works to create positive change in his community.
