Joseph Kevin Farrell

Joseph Kevin Farrell is an American cardinal of the Roman Catholic Church, currently serving as the camarlengo, or chamberlain, of the Holy Roman Church. Appointed by Pope Francis, he plays a significant role during the sede vacante, which is the period following a pope's death until a new pope is elected. Recently, he was involved in the ceremonial annulment of the Fisherman's Ring and the papal seals of Pope Francis, a necessary procedure to prevent forgery of papal documents after the pope's passing.
