Joseph Osterwalder

Joseph Osterwalder is a retired medical professor and former chief physician at the Kantonsspital St. Gallen in Switzerland. He has served as a member of the Federal Commission for Drug Issues and was on the board of the Cancer League of Eastern Switzerland. Recently, he has been in the news for his commentary on the complexities surrounding the health implications of moderate alcohol consumption, particularly in light of new WHO recommendations that categorize even small amounts of alcohol as harmful.
