Josh Liendo
Josh Liendo is a Canadian swimmer from Toronto who made headlines by setting a short-course world record in the men’s 100-metre butterfly with a time of 47.68 seconds at the World Aquatics Swimming World Cup in August 2025. At just 23 years old, he also won a silver medal in the same event at the Paris Olympics, becoming the first Black Canadian swimmer to achieve an Olympic medal. He was named Swimming Canada's Male Swimmer of the Year in 2024.
