Joshua Thambaran

Joshua Thambaran is an 18-year-old boxing prodigy hailing from Rose Hall, East Berbice, Guyana. As one of the country's most promising amateur flyweight fighters, Thambaran showcases versatility in the ring, effortlessly switching between orthodox and southpaw stances. Introduced to boxing at the age of seven through a family legacy that includes several boxing relatives, he trains under coach Gregory 'Chassis' Cort at the Rose Hall Town Jammers gym. Committed to his craft, Thambaran maintains a rigorous training schedule, practicing twice daily during the week and dedicating Sunday mornings to additional workouts, all in pursuit of his dream to compete on the international stage.
