Josiah Emerole

Josiah Emerole is the Director of Research and Programme Development at the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP) in Nigeria. He recently represented the agency's Director-General, Binta Bello, in a statement addressing the rescue of seven young women from a human trafficking ring. Emerole highlighted the concerning involvement of service providers, such as hotels, in facilitating human trafficking, and expressed the agency's commitment to intensifying efforts against trafficking networks operating in the country.
