Juan Antonio Bueren

Juan Antonio Bueren is a prominent researcher in the field of gene therapy and the head of a team at the Centro de Investigaciones Energéticas, Medioambientales y Tecnológicas (CIEMAT) in Madrid. He has been instrumental in developing a groundbreaking therapy for a rare genetic disorder known as leukocyte adhesion deficiency type I (LAD-I), which has shown remarkable success in treating affected children, including those from the Langenhop family.
