Juan Bautista Rojas Tabar was a retired Major General and pilot in the Dominican Air Force, known for his significant influence in the military and political landscape of the Dominican Republic. He served as the commander of the Dominican Air Force for six years and later as the Secretary of the Armed Forces. Rojas Tabar's career was marked by his strong principles and commitment to national service, even facing challenges such as his controversial dismissal in 1996 during the government of Leonel Fernández. Beyond his military service, he was involved in public life and politics, running for mayor with the Social Christian Reformist Party.
