Juan Carlos Bolaño Romo

Juan Carlos Bolaño Romo was a 20-year-old Colombian soldier from Malambo, Atlántico, who tragically lost his life during an intense combat in Guaviare against dissident factions of the Farc. Prior to his death, he sent an urgent audio message to his family asking them to pray for him, expressing his distress as he found himself in the midst of a violent confrontation. His death, along with that of several other soldiers, has highlighted the ongoing violence and risks faced by military personnel in Colombia.
