Juan Carlos Liendo O’Connor is a retired Army colonel who served as the first head of the National Intelligence Directorate (DINI) under President Dina Boluarte's administration, having been appointed in December 2022. His tenure was short-lived, lasting only a few weeks, due to resignations amidst violent protests and a loss of confidence from the President.
