Initially captivated by the press coverage of chaos in his neighborhood, he began his career as a messenger for a news channel before becoming a cameraman. He faced numerous challenges, including dangerous situations while covering protests, which earned him recognition for his bravery and commitment to journalism. After relocating to the United States, Masías worked on over 150 shows, contributing to his eventual Emmy-winning report on child trafficking.
