Juan Carlos Mazo Giraldo

Juan Carlos Mazo Giraldo is a retired colonel and the director of the Colombian Military Industry (Indumil). He gained recent attention due to allegations of connections with the disidences of 'Calarcá,' implicating him in discussions regarding the establishment of a security company for arms transport. Appointed by President Gustavo Petro in January 2024, Mazo was also involved in the controversial return of General Luis Emilio Cardozo to the National Army command. His financial disclosures have shown fluctuations in his declared assets, including a significant increase in the value of his only property, a house valued at 950 million pesos.
