Juan Carlos Méndez

Juan Carlos Méndez is the director of the Rutas para el Desarrollo program in Guatemala, where he plays a crucial role in the country's infrastructure development efforts. Recently, he reported that Guatemala has a network of 9,739 kilometers of unpaved roads and 7,477 kilometers of asphalt roads, highlighting the need for improvement in transportation infrastructure. Under his leadership, the program aims to construct an additional 4,820 kilometers of roads to enhance connectivity and support economic growth in rural areas. Méndez is set to announce the inauguration of this ambitious initiative on February 26 in Alta Verapaz.
