Juan Crisóstomo Gómez

Juan Crisóstomo Gómez was the younger brother of the Venezuelan dictator Juan Vicente Gómez. During the latter's period of illness in 1921, he became a key figure within the political intrigues surrounding the leadership succession, as factions began to form around him and his brother, each vying for power amidst the uncertainty of their brother's health.
