Juan Hamilton was an aspiring artist and the companion of renowned painter Georgia O’Keeffe, serving as her caretaker, confidant, and protégé during her final years. Their relationship began when he was a 27-year-old potter and she was an 85-year-old icon of modern art. Following O’Keeffe's death, Hamilton became a controversial figure due to accusations surrounding his status as the primary beneficiary of her will. He passed away on February 20, 2023, at the age of 79.
