Juan José de Navarro de Viana y Búfalo (1687-1772), known as the Marqués de la Victoria, was a prominent Spanish naval officer and the first director of the School of Guardiamarinas, established in 1717. He authored a significant navigation treatise that included tactical instructions and a naval glossary, showcasing his expertise in maritime warfare and navigation.
