Juan Pablo Ospina is the coordinator of the Archaeology Group at the Colombian Institute of Anthropology and History (Icanh), where he is actively involved in efforts to protect Colombia's archaeological heritage amidst the rising trend of illegal treasure hunting, known as guaquería, particularly as it gains traction on social media.
