Juan Santiváñez

Juan Santiváñez served as the Minister of the Interior in Peru from May 2024 to March 2025. He has recently been in the news due to a constitutional complaint filed by the Peruvian Prosecutor's Office, which accuses him of omission of denunciation in a case involving Dina Boluarte, the President of Peru. The allegations suggest that both Santiváñez and Boluarte may have been involved in facilitating the escape of Vladimir Cerrón, the leader of the Perú Libre party, who is wanted for corruption.
