Judd Devermont

Judd Devermont is an experienced national security and foreign policy expert, having served as the National Intelligence Officer for Africa under the Obama Administration and as the Senior Director for African Affairs at the National Security Council during the Biden Administration. He was the primary author of the US Strategy Toward Sub-Saharan Africa, which aimed to redefine US engagement with the continent. Currently, he is an operating partner at Kupanda Capital and a non-resident senior adviser at the Centre for Strategic and International Studies, where he continues to influence discussions on US-Africa relations.
