Judith Morales Ortiz

Judith Morales Ortiz was a talented athlete who made her mark in the Special Olympics, winning a gold medal in bocce at the 2019 World Games in Abu Dhabi. She began her journey in the Special Olympics program in 2017 at her school in Talamanca, Costa Rica, and quickly proved her dedication and skill, participating in national competitions leading to her nomination for the world stage. Described as shy and disciplined, Judith's achievements not only showcased her athletic prowess but also her resilience and determination. Tragically, her life was cut short at the age of 24 under circumstances that have raised suspicions of femicide.
