Judith Sephuma
Judith Sephuma is a celebrated South African jazz and afro-soul singer, born in 1974 in Seshego, Limpopo. She grew up in Polokwane and later moved to Cape Town to study jazz, completing her Performer’s Diploma in 1997. With a career that began to flourish in 1999 when she won the Best Jazz Vocalist award at the Old Mutual Jazz Into The Future competition, Sephuma quickly gained international recognition. Her debut album, 'A Cry, A Smile, A Dance,' released in 2001, solidified her status in the music industry. Known for her powerful voice and emotive performances, she has released several acclaimed albums, including 'New Beginnings,' 'Change is Here,' and 'Power of Dreams.' Today, she continues to captivate audiences and is set to perform at the Coconuts venue, marking her return to the Mozambican stage.
