Julian Benson was a celebrated Irish dancer and choreographer, widely recognized as a judge on RTÉ's 'Dancing with the Stars.' Diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis at two, Julian defied expectations by pursuing a successful dance career, beginning at just 14 years old. He was affectionately known as 'Captain Sparkle' for his vibrant personality and signature sparkly jackets. In addition to his television career, he was dedicated to raising awareness about Cystic Fibrosis, founding the Julian Benson Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and creating Tranquility House, a supportive space for families affected by the condition. Julian passed away at the age of 54 after a brave battle with the disease, leaving behind a legacy of joy, resilience, and compassion.
