Julie Anderson

Julie Anderson is a Pitjantjatjara artist born circa 1956 in Victory Downs Station, Australia. She began her journey into tjanpi weaving at the age of 60, inspired by her aunt Margaret Smith. As a member of the Tjanpi Desert Weavers, Anderson finds joy in creating vibrant baskets and sculptures that reflect her culture and stories of country. Through her art, she not only contributes to her community's social enterprise but also finds personal happiness and fulfillment.
