
Julie Coetzee
Julie Coetzee is the deputy director of the Centre for Biological Control at Rhodes University, where she has been instrumental in developing biological control methods for invasive species in South Africa's ecosystems. Recently, she oversaw the release of the Cyrtobagous salviniae weevil into the Crocodile River to combat the spread of common salvinia, an invasive aquatic plant threatening local biodiversity.
