Julio Cornelio G.T. is a 41-year-old Peruvian national who recently made headlines after surrendering to authorities in connection with the hit-and-run death of Eugenia Carril, an 18-year-old student in Villa Elvira. Following a police investigation that included the analysis of security footage and public appeals for information, he turned himself in at the Delegación Departamental de Investigaciones (DDI). Cornelio is known to work in painting and maintenance jobs and resides in the same neighborhood where the tragic incident occurred. His vehicle, a blue Chevrolet Meriva, was identified and found shortly before his surrender, and he is currently facing charges of culpable homicide and abandonment of a person.
