Júlio de Carvalho

Júlio de Carvalho is an ex-military personnel and one of the key promoters behind the initiative to establish the Association of Veterans of the Armed Forces of Cabo Verde. Having enlisted as a volunteer at the age of 16 in 1981, Carvalho is committed to creating a platform for veterans of the Cabo Verdean Armed Forces, emphasizing inclusivity for all who have served, regardless of rank or social status. His vision includes honoring the contributions of veterans, preserving the memory of service, and fostering a sense of citizenship and solidarity among Cabo Verdeans, especially as the nation approaches its 50th anniversary of independence.
