Julio Spinetti

Julio Spinetti is a labor leader and the head of the Unión Nacional de Obreros y Trabajadores del Transporte (Unott) in Uruguay. He has been an outspoken advocate for the rights and safety of transport workers, particularly highlighting concerns over working conditions and labor regulations within the industry. Recently, he has been involved in raising awareness about the inadequate rest periods and safety measures for bus drivers, especially in light of a tragic accident that resulted in the death of a driver due to excessive working hours and lack of proper support during long journeys.
