
Julius Muthike Njiri
Julius Muthike Njiri was the former Deputy Governor of Kirinyaga County, serving from 2013 to 2017. He was an influential figure in the county's first administration and contributed significantly to the establishment of devolved governance in Kenya. Njiri was elected on The National Alliance (TNA) ticket alongside Governor Joseph Ndathi. After his tenure, he continued his education, earning a PhD in Business Administration in 2022, as well as multiple advanced degrees from United States International University. Njiri was recognized for his leadership and dedication to public service until his passing, which was mourned by many, including Governor Anne Waiguru.
