Junior Alvarado is a 38-year-old Venezuelan jockey with over 2,200 wins in North America. He emigrated to the United States in 2007 and has participated in five editions of the Kentucky Derby, aiming for his first victory in the prestigious race. Alvarado is set to ride Sovereignty, the second favorite for the 2025 Derby, and has high hopes after recovering from an injury.
