Jurče Vreže

Jurče Vreže was the visionary founder of the Youth Choir Festival in Celje, initiated in 1946 as a means of fostering community and healing through song in the aftermath of World War II. His leadership as conductor during the inaugural concert, where 3,000 young voices joined in harmony, aimed to inspire hope and freedom, setting a foundation for the festival's enduring legacy.
