Kahotea

Kahotea was a decorated soldier in the New Zealand Special Air Service (NZSAS) who tragically died during a training exercise in 2019. His death occurred while conducting a maneuver known as a 'wheel bump' with U.S. Green Berets, resulting in a fall from a Black Hawk helicopter. This incident prompted extensive investigations and reforms within the NZSAS regarding safety practices, highlighting the need for more rigorous training protocols and the adherence to established safety measures.
