Kailash Arjun Nagare

Kailash Arjun Nagare was a prominent farmer leader from Maharashtra, known for his advocacy for farmers' rights. He received the Maharashtra government's Young Farmer Award in 2020 for his efforts in agriculture. Tragically, he took his own life at the age of 43, leaving behind a suicide note that criticized the government for neglecting farmers' issues. Nagare had long campaigned for irrigation water for his village and had previously staged a hunger strike to press his demands. His death ignited protests among local farmers, highlighting the ongoing struggles within the agricultural community.
