Kalia

Kalia is a 10-year-old Year 5 student at Tauranga Waldorf School who became a local hero after rescuing a drowning toddler at the Baywave wave pool. Despite having no lifeguarding experience, her quick thinking and bravery in diving into the water to save the child earned her the admiration of her community, with many referring to her as an 'earth angel.' Kalia enjoys knitting, playing the violin, and reading, and she aspires to become a veterinarian in the future.
