Kamanu M'Tuamwari

Kamanu M'Tuamwari is the founder of the Save Our Rivers Initiative (SAORI), an organization dedicated to environmental conservation. He was recently in the news for leading a petition against a proposed airstrip project within the Imenti Forest, arguing that it poses a threat to the local ecosystem. During a public participation event, he and other conservationists faced hostility and were subsequently evacuated to safety due to threats from supporters of the project.
