Kanji Manchhu Desai

Kanji Manchhu Desai is recognized as the 'godfather of Indian-owned hotels' in the United States. Originally from Gujarat, he moved to the U.S. in 1934 and became a pioneer in the hotel industry by leasing his own hotel after World War II, helping many fellow immigrants find their footing in America through his guidance and support.
