Kareia Manukau

A resident of Arapaoa Rd in rural Kaipara, Kareia Manukau is a roadworker and former quarry worker who has been vocal about the issues faced by his community due to poor road maintenance. Living in an area where residents struggle with the high costs of living, especially pensioners, he has experienced frequent tyre and wheel damage caused by sharp, unprocessed metal used in recent road resurfacing. Frustrated by the lack of action from local authorities, he has taken it upon himself to help neighbors with tire repairs and advocate for compensation from the council to alleviate the financial burden on residents.
