Karekin II Nersisjan

Karekin II Nersisjan is the Catholicos of the Armenian Apostolic Church, a position he has held since 1999. He has significant influence in Armenian society and politics, especially following the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, where he called for the resignation of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, leading to an ongoing conflict between the church and the government.
