Karen Palmer

Karen Palmer is a domestic abuse survivor and author known for her courageous escape from an abusive marriage in the late 1980s. After fleeing her ex-husband Gil with her two young daughters, she reinvented her family's identities and built a new life in Boulder, Colorado. Her recently published memoir, 'She’s Under Here', explores her experiences of abuse, the challenges of starting anew, and the societal issues surrounding domestic violence. Through her story, Palmer aims to shed light on the complexities of leaving an abusive relationship and the importance of understanding coercive control.
