Karen Shepherdson

Karen Shepherdson is a researcher and co-author of 'Seaside Photographed,' who founded the South East Archive of Seaside Photography. Her research focuses on historical images of people at the beach, particularly the tradition of 'walkies' — photographs of families captured by commercial photographers, which she believes are powerful relics of personal history and collective memory.
