
Karim Al-Hussaini
Karim Al-Hussaini, known as Aga Khan IV, was born in 1936 in Geneva, Switzerland. He was a prominent leader of the Ismaili Muslim community and a significant figure in global development through his Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN). Throughout his life, he oversaw an extensive portfolio of investments and initiatives aimed at improving living conditions in developing regions. He was also known for his luxurious lifestyle, which included owning a private jet and a yacht, and his involvement in the transformation of Costa Smeralda in Sardinia into a premier tourist destination. His vast wealth, estimated at billions, was shrouded in mystery, and he passed away in February 2025.
