Karl Ronan

Karl Ronan is a 45-year-old salesman and father of two from Erris Square, Blanchardstown. He made headlines after he assaulted Green Party leader Roderic O’Gorman during an election canvass, grabbing him by the shoulders and verbally abusing him with a homophobic slur. Ronan pleaded guilty to several charges, including assault and damaging O’Gorman's property, and was ultimately spared jail time, receiving a sentence of community service instead.
