Kashf al-Saltaneh was a prominent Iranian statesman and diplomat during the Qajar dynasty, known for his significant role in the introduction and cultivation of tea in Iran. As the consul of Mozaffar al-Din Shah in India, he facilitated the importation of tea seeds and plants to Iran, leading to the establishment of the first tea gardens in the northern regions of the country.
