Kasyym-Zhomart Tokayev

Kasyym-Zhomart Tokayev is the current President of Kazakhstan, having taken office in March 2019. A seasoned diplomat and political leader, Tokayev previously served as the Chairman of the Senate and held various positions in the United Nations, including Deputy Secretary-General. As president, he has focused on political reforms, economic modernization, and fostering national unity among Kazakhstan's diverse ethnic groups. Under his leadership, the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan (ANK) has taken on a more active role in promoting civic engagement and addressing contemporary social issues, reflecting his commitment to a more inclusive and dynamic civil society.
