Kayla Saia is the proud mother of Kalia Saia, who was celebrated for her daughter's heroic act of saving a toddler from drowning. Kayla has expressed her amazement and pride in Kalia's quick thinking and bravery, and she has been actively involved in supporting Kalia's recognition within the community, including her daughter's new journey in the junior Mount Maunganui surf lifeguarding Nippers programme.
