Kedar Sharma

Kedar Sharma was an influential Indian film director, producer, screenwriter, and songwriter who made significant contributions to Hindi cinema. Born in Narowal, Punjab, he developed a close friendship with legendary actor Prithvi Raj Kapoor, whom he later supported in guiding his son, Raj Kapoor. Notably, Sharma recounted a dramatic moment when he slapped Raj Kapoor, leaving marks on his face, as a disciplinary measure. Despite financial hardships, he invested his own resources to produce the film 'Neel Kamal,' showcasing his dedication to nurturing new talent in the industry. Sharma passed away in 1999 at the age of 89, leaving behind a legacy of mentorship and creativity in Bollywood.
