Keiran Hardy

Associate Professor Keiran Hardy is a counter-terrorism expert at Griffith University’s criminology institute. He specializes in the study of far-right extremism and the ways in which neo-Nazi groups adapt their symbols and tactics in response to legal restrictions, such as the recent bans on Nazi symbols in Australia. Hardy has noted that neo-Nazis are increasingly co-opting ancient Nordic runes to continue signaling their ideologies while avoiding prosecution.
