Kem Ley

Kem Ley was a prominent Cambodian political analyst and activist known for his outspoken criticism of the Cambodian government led by Prime Minister Hun Sen. He was a member of the opposition party CNRP and was assassinated in Phnom Penh in July 2016, an act that sparked national and international outrage and highlighted the dangers faced by political dissidents in Cambodia.
