Kenan Hrustanović is the head of the Mountain Rescue Service in Zenica, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Recently, he was in the news following a tragic incident where five climbers from Zenica lost their lives while attempting to summit Mount Elbrus, the highest peak in Russia. Hrustanović, who suffered a knee injury, would have likely been part of the expedition had it not been for his injury. He confirmed that the deceased climbers were members of the Zenica Mountain Rescue Service and the Vedro Mountaineering Society. Following the incident, he has been in contact with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina to assist in the situation.
