Kenan Kurtagić

Kenan Kurtagić serves as the Head of the Public Health Directorate within the Ministry of Health in Montenegro. He has emphasized that mental health has been a societal priority for decades but remains marginalized, leading to numerous challenges. Kurtagić pointed out that the COVID-19 pandemic significantly hindered the realization of various planned mental health initiatives. He has also highlighted the lack of engagement from the non-governmental sector in the development of the Mental Health Program, underlining the need for a comprehensive strategy to address mental health issues in Montenegro.
