Kenya Development Corporation

The Kenya Development Corporation (KDC) is a state corporation established to promote economic growth and development in Kenya by providing financial and technical support to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Recently, KDC has been in the news for collaborating with the World Bank to launch a Green Investment Fund, which aims to unlock private capital for climate-friendly businesses in Kenya. The fund, which has received $43 million, is designed to support sectors such as sustainable agriculture, energy-efficient buildings, and electric mobility, ultimately contributing to the country's transition to a greener economy.
